About Bascom Florida
Bascom is one of the smallest towns in beautiful Jackson County, but it’s also one of the proudest. Residents - totaling about 106 souls - love their community, which sits within a 4.8 square-mile land area.
Bascom may not be overflowing with restaurants and nightlife, but it exudes a plethora of character, hospitality and family values.
Bascom’s famed landmarks include the former Bryan Supermarket which is now the Bascom General Merchandise store, the infamous painted “cow house” which was a gift shop and is now a beauty salon, (shown in the photo to the left) and the Ham Feed Company.
And Bascom also is famed for one of its residents—actress Faye Dunaway was born here. She still has family living in the area.
