Guest Speaker: Julie Burdeshaw, Asst. Principal, Graceville High School
Topic: "Building Citizenship in the Community: Back to Basics"
It’s important for citizens to appreciate and participate in their governments—especially at the local level. Local government has a significant influence on our daily lives. The Jackson County Chamber of Commerce is pleased to bring a message of citizenship to a countywide audience of local citizens. We believe that our county will be stronger and more effective if citizens step up and take part in their government business. Don’t miss this opportunity to assemble, enjoy a free lunch with your fellow citizens, and hear Julie Burdeshaw discuss the importance of effective local citizenship. Julie has been the assistantprincipal at Graceville High for four years, and was a history teacher for 20 years while teaching at both Cottondale and Graceville High Schools. She has been married for 25 years and has two children.
