Jackson County Development Council:
The JCDC was incorporated in 1995 for 10 years to administer the Federal Rural Enterprise Community and the State Enterprise Zone. It assists area community and economic development efforts by achieving benchmarks established for the Enterprise Community and using grant funds to leverage additional money.

Main Street Marianna:
Marianna Main Street, established in 1992, functions in an advisory capacity to the City of Marianna. Now in its eight year led by executive director Chuck Sims, a Marianna native with experience in all aspects of economic development. Comprised of volunteers in the community and governed by a Board of Directors, it has several key committees as its backbone. Economic Restructuring, Design and Promotions committees make up the core of the Main Street Marianna effort.

Imagine Jackson
Formed in 2001 to help Jackson County residents develop a vision for the future.
The team has designed a process that offers opportunities to participate in both area and countywide meetings.

Jackson County Tourist Development Council
Established in 1998 in preparation for the implementation of a two-cent tourism tax in January of 1999.
The nine-member board makes decisions about how the money is distributed. In Jackson County that is in the form of mini-grants to agencies or organizations with events which bring tourists into the county to attend events, stay in hotels, eat in restaurants and shop in stores.
