    Peoples Bank of Graceville will host a book signing by former Jackson County Sheriff, John “Johnny Mac” McDaniel on Thursday, September 7, 2017 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Copies of the biography of Sheriff John P. McDaniel III, titled “The High Sheriff”, written by R.L. Dodson, will be available for sale, with a portion of each book sold donated to The Graceville Police Department. “Johnny Mac” served as Sheriff of Jackson County for 28 years from 1980 until he retired in 2008, having never lost a single precinct in an election. With the help and approval of Sheriff McDaniel, the author has captured the best and most tragic times of his life. Everyone, including friends and former law enforcement colleagues of Sheriff McDaniel, are invited to come and enjoy the book signing event to support local law enforcement. Copies of “The High Sheriff” will be available for purchase for $20.
