    Jackson County Chamber Legislative Luncheon Featuring State Delegation set for May 19th
     
    Join us for our annual Legislative Luncheon on Friday, May 19th from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm at Rivertown Community Church as we hear from Senator Jay Trumbull (invited), Representative Shane Abbott (confirmed) and Darrick McGhee, Chief Operating Officer, Johnson & Blanton.
     
    Senator Jay Trumbull, District 2, currently serves as the Chair of the Commerce & Tourism Committee, Vice Chair of the Appropriations Committee on Transportation, Tourism, and Economic Development and also serves on the Appropriations Committee on Agriculture, Environment, and General Government; Banking and Insurance; Fiscal Policy; Judiciary; Transportation; and Select Committee on Resiliency.  He is a resident of Bay County. Jay served in the House from 2014-2022 and was elected to the Senate in November 2022.
     
    Representative Shane Abbott, District 5, currently serves on the Joint Administrative Procedures Committee, Agriculture & Natural Resources Appropriations Subcommittee, Agriculture, Conservation & Resiliency Subcommittee, Criminal Justice Subcommittee, Health Care Appropriations Subcommittee and Healthcare Regulation Subcommittee.  He is a resident of DeFuniak Springs. Shane was elected to his first term in the Florida House in November 2022.
     
    Sponsored by Anderson Columbia, this Special Government Affairs Legislative Luncheon will provide an update from our State Delegation and overview of the recently completed session, special sessions and glimpse into the future of the upcoming State Legislative Session. Darrick McGhee will be the featured speaker for this portion of the program.
